For eight years, Words of Hope has partnered with the Evangelical Church of the Republic of Niger (EERN) to produce radio programs in Hausa and in French. Although Niger is 98% Islamic, the country is wide open for the gospel, and these broadcasts are making a big impact.

The violence that erupted nearly a year and a half ago in South Sudan shows no signs of abating. More than two million people have been forced to flee their homes in search of safety.Thankfully, Words of Hope has been able to continue producing radio programs that can be heard in the region throughout this time of conflict.

In mid-January of 2015, churches in Niger were targeted in a slew of riots. Muslims angry over a French magazine's depictions of the prophet Muhammad, and dissatisfied with their current government, set fire to 45 church buildings. At least 10 people were killed.

In areas of South Asia, it is incredibly difficult to reach people with the gospel due to geographical and social boundaries. Learn how through radio, even people in the hardest-to-reach places are coming to know Christ!
